The Jammu and Kashmir Services Selection Board (JKSSB) has officially notified the Provisional Selection List for 502 posts of Constable (Telecommunication) in the J&K Police, Home Department, advertised under Notification No. 01 of 2024 dated 16 July 2024 (Item No. 03).
The recruitment process was initiated after the Home Department referred 4002 posts of Constable to JKSSB vide Indent No. Home/PNG/268/2022 dated 27 June 2024, out of which 502 posts were earmarked for Constable (Telecommunication).

JKSSB Telecom Operator Selection Process
- Written Examination (OMR-based): Conducted on 08 December 2024
- Result/Score Sheet Declared: 20 January 2025
- Physical Standard & Endurance Tests: Conducted in December 2025
- Document Verification: Held at Jammu and Srinagar offices following notification dated 04 December 2025
- Supplementary Document Verification: 15 December 2025
- Selection Committee Constitution: Vide Office Order No. 397-SSB of 2025 dated 16 December 2025
- Approval of Selection List: In the 333rd Board Meeting held on 29 December 2025
The provisional selection list was prepared strictly in accordance with merit, eligibility conditions, and extant recruitment rules, including physical standards as prescribed under SO 214 dated 01 July 2021.
Important Conditions
- The selection list is purely provisional and subject to:
- Outcome of any OAs/Writ Petitions pending before competent courts.
- Outcome of any pending inquiries involving candidates included in the list.
- Examination of objections, if any, received against the provisional list.
- Mere inclusion in the provisional list does not confer any right to final selection.
