The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the advance intimation for allotment of examination city for applicants of Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2026 Session 1. Candidates who have registered for JEE Main January 2026 exam can now check and download their Exam City Intimation Slip from the official website jeemain.nta.nic.in.
This facility has been made available from 08 January 2026 to help candidates know the city in which their examination centre will be located well in advance.
JEE Main 2026 Session 1 Exam Dates and Schedule
The JEE Main 2026 Session 1 examination will be conducted on the following dates:
- 21, 22, 23, 24 and 28 January 2026
Paper 1 (B.E./B.Tech)
First Shift: 09:00 AM to 12:00 Noon
Second Shift: 03:00 PM to 06:00 PM - 29 January 2026
Paper 2A (B.Arch), Paper 2B (B.Planning), and Paper 2A & 2B (B.Arch & B.Planning)
First Shift: 09:00 AM to 12:30 PM
The examination will be conducted at centres located across India and in 15 cities outside India.
JEE Main 2026 Exam City Intimation Slip – Important Points
The Exam City Intimation Slip is not the admit card. It is issued only as advance information to inform candidates about the city of their examination centre so that they can plan their travel accordingly. The JEE Main 2026 Admit Card will be issued separately at a later stage.
Candidates must carefully read all instructions mentioned on the city intimation slip after downloading it.
