The Jammu and Kashmir Public Service Commission (JKPSC) has officially scheduled the preliminary exam on December 07, 2025 (Sunday). JKPSC has released Admit cards for the JKAS Preliminary examinations and candidates can download the same, the exam will be conducted in two sessions:

  • Morning Session: 10:00 AM to 12:00 Noon
  • Afternoon Session: 02:00 PM to 04:00 PM

JKPSC KAS Prelims Admit Card Details

Candidates can now download their e-Admit Cards from the official JKPSC website (http://www.jkpsc.nic.in) starting from 1st of December 2025 (Saturday). To obtain the admit card, follow these steps:

  1. Log in to your JKPSC account using your credentials.
  2. Navigate to the ‘Admit Card’ section.
  3. Click on ‘Get Admit Card’ to download it.
  4. Take a printout for future reference.

If any candidate faces issues while downloading the admit card, they must report to the Commission before 7th of December 2025 (Sunday) with valid proof of having submitted the online application form and fee payment. Failure to do so will be considered a lack of interest in appearing for the examination, and no claims will be entertained beyond this date.

Important Exam Day Instructions

Candidates must adhere to the following instructions on the day of the examination to ensure a smooth process:

  • Arrive at the examination venue two hours before the first session (by 08:00 AM) and one hour before the second session (by 01:00 PM).
  • Entry to the venue will be closed 30 minutes before the start of the examination.
  • Carry a printed Admit Card along with a valid identity proof (Aadhaar Card, PAN Card, Driving License, or Passport).
  • Candidates must undergo a four-tier security check at the venue.
  • Items such as mobile phones, smartwatches, calculators, headphones, Bluetooth devices, or any other electronic gadgets are strictly prohibited. Possession of such items will result in immediate disqualification.
  • Be seated in the examination hall at least 20 minutes before the start of the exam.
  • The exam format will be Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs).
  • Each question will have four options (A, B, C, D); candidates must darken the correct option on the OMR answer sheet using a blue or black ballpoint pen.
  • No borrowing or exchange of stationery is allowed in the exam hall.
  • Ensure to darken the entire oval for your chosen answer without damaging the OMR sheet.
  • Each wrong answer will result in a deduction of one-third of the marks assigned to that question.
  • If multiple answers are marked for a single question, it will be treated as incorrect, and the penalty will apply.
  • Candidates will not be allowed to leave the hall before the completion of the exam (i.e., two hours per session).
  • JKPSC will not provide TA/DA for travel and accommodation arrangements.

The eligibility of all candidates remains provisional, subject to verification at later stages.
