The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has released the official notification for the Constable (General Duty) recruitment in CAPFs, SSF, and Rifleman (GD) in Assam Rifles for the year 2026, SSC GD Constable Recruitment 2026 – Apply Online for 25,487 Constable, Rifleman Posts.
This recruitment is conducted based on the Recruitment Scheme of the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA).

The selection process includes:
Computer Based Examination (CBE) → PST/PET → Medical Examination → Document Verification.

Mode & Language of Examination

  • Application submission: Online only
  • CBE will be conducted in English, Hindi, and 13 regional languages, including:
    Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Konkani, Malayalam, Manipuri, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, Urdu.

SSC GD Constable Eligibility Criteria

1. Nationality

Candidate must be a citizen of India.
Candidates must submit Domicile/PRC for their State/UT (except SSF posts, which are All-India).

2. Age Limit (as on 01.01.2026)

  • Minimum age: 18 years
  • Maximum age: 23 years
    (Candidates born not before 02.01.2003 and not later than 01.01.2008.)
