JKSSB Police Constable Eligibility Criteria
Domicile
Candidates must be domiciles of the Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir and possess a valid domicile certificate on or before the cut-off date.
Educational Qualification
- Matriculation (10th pass) from a recognized board.

JKSSB Constable Selection Process
The JKSSB Constable Selection Process 2026 consists of the following stages:
- Written Examination (Objective type, with negative marking)
- Physical Standard Test (PST) – Qualifying
- Physical Endurance Test (PET) – Qualifying
- Medical Examination
- Document Verification
NCC certificate holders will be awarded bonus marks as per government rules.
Physical Standards
Physical Standard Test (PST)
For Male Candidates
- Height: 5’-6”
- Chest: 32” (unexpanded), 33½” (expanded)
For Female Candidates
- Height: 5’-2”
Height relaxation of 2 inches is applicable for Gorkha and Bot Tribe candidates.
Physical Endurance Test (PET)
For Male Candidates
- 1600 meters race: 6½ minutes
- Push-ups: 20
For Female Candidates
- 1000 meters race: 6½ minutes
- Shot put (4 kg): 14½ feet (3 attempts)
Relaxations apply for Ex-Servicemen as per age slabs.
