The Department of Social Welfare, Jammu & Kashmir(JKICDS) has issued multiple advertisements for recruitment of Sanginis (Anganwadi Workers) and Shayikas (Anganwadi Helpers) in various Anganwadi Centres (AWCs) under different Poshan Projects across several districts of the Union Territory. The recruitment will be carried out strictly as per the prescribed government norms and eligibility conditions.

Selection Criteria for Sanginis (Anganwadi Workers)
The selection of Sanginis (AWWs) shall remain strictly as per Government Order No. 103 JK(SWD) of 2023 dated 28.04.2023.
- Only women candidates in the age group of 18 to 37 years are eligible
- Candidate must be a domicile of UT of Jammu & Kashmir
- Candidate must be a resident of the Electoral Ward where the Anganwadi Centre is located
- Minimum qualification: 10+2 pass
- Maximum qualification: Graduation
- Candidates with qualification higher than graduation shall not be considered
- Selection shall be purely on academic merit, based on 10+2 marks
- No interview shall be conducted
- Additional 2% weightage shall be given if an eligible candidate belongs to the family of a retired Anganwadi Worker
- In case of tie in merit, the older candidate shall be preferred
Documents to be Attached (Self-Attested)
- Panch Ward Certificate / Electoral Card / Continuous ward residence certificate issued by BDO
- Domicile Certificate issued by the concerned Tehsildar
- Date of Birth Certificate
- Academic Qualification Certificates with marks card of 10+2
- Proof document, if candidate belongs to the family of a retired AWW
- Non-Employment Certificate from a Gazetted Officer
- Self-addressed envelope with postage stamp of Rs. 5/-
Important Declaration by the Candidate
- All documents submitted must be correct, genuine, and free from mismatch, duplication, or false information
- Any discrepancy found at any stage may lead to cancellation of candidature and legal action
- Maximum qualification for Sangini vacancies is Graduation, and the responsibility of proving eligibility lies with the candidate
- The candidate must have read and understood HR Policy No. 222-JK(SWD) of 2022 dated 30-11-2022, which shall be applicable in case of selection
