In a latest development, the Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (JKBOSE) is likely to declare the annual (regular) Class 12th examination result for the 2025-26 academic session by 14th January, 2026.
According to a senior official in the School Education Department (SED), the Education Minister has directed JKBOSE to ensure that the results of Class 10th and Class 12th examinations are declared by 14th January 2026, and students can verify the same from jkresults.co.in – the official site for result declaration.
“As per the latest status received from JKBOSE, priority has been given to the declaration of the Class 12th results. There are around 95 percent chances that the results will be declared by 14th January, and if everything proceeds smoothly, the result may even be announced a couple of days earlier,” the official said.
The official emphasized that Class 12th results are being prioritized as students need to seek admission to colleges, universities, and other higher education institutions without delay.

“The process for the declaration of Class 10th results is also underway simultaneously. The Class 10th result will be announced immediately after the declaration of the Class 12th result,” the official added.
Evaluation Status Update
The official further informed that the evaluation of Class 12th answer scripts has already been completed, after which the data was forwarded to the computing agency for result processing.
“The evaluation of Class 10th question papers is also nearing completion, and the evaluated portions have already been sent for computing. Our efforts are focused on declaring the results within the stipulated timeline,” the official said.
Regarding Class 11th examinations, the official said that a substantial portion of evaluation work has also been completed.
“However, Class 11th results will be declared after Class 12th and Class 10th results. There is no urgency in declaring Class 11th results,” the official clarified.
Government Monitoring and Deadline
Earlier, the Education Minister chaired a high-level meeting with JKBOSE officials and directed them to strictly adhere to the timeline for result declaration.
“The Board officials are working diligently to ensure that the results of all three classes are declared in a time-bound manner as per the deadline fixed by the government,” the official said.
Examination Schedule and Student Participation
It is pertinent to mention that the annual board examinations for Classes 10th to 12th were conducted in November 2025, following the government’s decision to restore the November academic session in schools across Jammu and Kashmir.
As per official figures, around 3.5 lakh students from both soft and hard zone areas appeared in the annual examinations of Classes 10th, 11th, and 12th during the 2025–26 session.
- Class 10th: Over 1.3 lakh students appeared across more than 1,500 examination centres
- Class 11th: Around 1.2 lakh students appeared in over 1,100 centres
- Class 12th: More than 1 lakh students appeared across nearly 1,000 centres in Jammu and Kashmir
