The Jammu and Kashmir Public Service Commission (JKPSC) has issued an official notification regarding the withdrawal of the post of Superintendent Jail in the J&K Prisons Department.
JKPSC Superintendent Jail Recruitment 2025 – Update
As per Notification No. 01-PSC (DR-P) of 2026 dated 16.01.2026, the Commission has withdrawn the post of Superintendent Jail which was earlier notified under Notification No. 06-PSC (DR-P) of 2025 dated 09.05.2025.

The withdrawal has been made in pursuance of Letter No. HOME-Jail/22/2022-01-HOME (CC 144165) dated 02.01.2026, received from the Home Department, Government of Jammu and Kashmir.
