A notification has been issued by the Jammu & Kashmir Services Selection Board (JKSSB) regarding the document verification of candidates falling under the consideration zone for the posts of Junior Engineer (Civil) in the Jal Shakti Department and Public Works (R&B) Department.
These posts were advertised under Item Nos. 06 & 07 vide Notification No. 03 of 2025.

Document Verification Requirements
The candidates appearing for DV must produce original documents along with one set of self-attested photocopies before the designated Document Verification Committees.
Below is the complete list of documents as per the official notification.
Required Documents:
- Photocopy of Application Form
- Two recent passport-size colour photographs
- One original photo ID (Aadhaar/Voter Card/PAN/Passport etc.)
- DOB Certificate (10th Diploma/Marks Card)
- Valid Category Certificate (for reserved category candidates)
- Domicile Certificate
- Prescribed Qualification/Diploma as mentioned in the Advertisement Notification
- Bonafide Certificate (for candidates with qualifications obtained outside the UT of J&K) issued by Controller/Registrar
- Checklist sheet/form (as per Annexure “B”) to be submitted at DV
- No Equivalence Certificate required (this is only for candidates claiming equivalent qualification)
- For Ex-Servicemen (ESM): Affidavit to be attested by Magistrate 1st Class that no ESM benefit has been availed previously
- Printout of preferences filled online (no changes allowed)
Important Instructions to Candidates
- Equivalence Qualification Claims
Candidates who claim equivalence in educational qualification must upload an Equivalence Certificate issued by the competent authorities.
The Board will take a decision strictly according to the governing norms.
- Ex-Servicemen Category Requirements
There shall be an affidavit to state that the candidate has not availed ESM reservation previously.
If proven incorrect:
Candidature will be cancelled ab-initio
No notice is to be served.
Legal action shall be taken under law.
- Preferences
Candidates are required to bring a printout of online-submitted preferences.
No representations for change in preference shall be entertained.
4. Compulsory Physical Appearance Candidates have to appear in person before the Document Verification Committee on the scheduled date. Failure to appear will result in the forfeiture of a right to selection. Conclusion Accordingly, the JKSSB has proceeded further to the Document Verification stage in respect of the recruitment to the post of Junior Engineer (Civil) in Jal Shakti and Public Works (R&B) Departments. The candidates should prepare all the required documents with utmost care, follow the instructions given precisely, and appear on time for DV to secure their candidature.
