Educational Qualification
Constable (Telecommunication):
- 10+2 with Science stream
Constable (Photographer):
- 10+2 with Science
- 6 months computer course from a recognized institute
- Minimum 2 years experience in photography/videography and handling digital cameras
Candidates must possess the prescribed qualifications on or before 02 March 2026.

Physical Standards (PST)
Male Candidates
- Height: 5’6”
- Chest: 32” (unexpanded), 33½” (expanded)
Female Candidates
- Height: 5’2”
Relaxation of 2 inches applicable for Gorkha and Bot Tribe candidates.
Physical Endurance Test (PET)
For Males
- 1600 meters run in 6½ minutes
- 20 push-ups
For Females
- 1000 meters run in 6½ minutes
- Shot put (4 kg): 14½ feet (3 attempts)
Relaxed PET standards apply for Ex-Servicemen as per age.
Selection Process
The JKSSB Constable Telecommunication selection will consist of:
- Written Examination (Objective Type)
- English language only
- Negative marking: ¼ mark for each wrong answer
- NCC Certificate holders eligible for bonus marks
- Physical Standard Test (PST) – Qualifying
- Physical Endurance Test (PET) – Qualifying
- Document Verification
- Medical Examination
