The University of Kashmir has issued Advertisement Notice No. 02 of 2026 dated 02 January 2026, inviting online applications from domiciles of the Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir for the post of Assistant Registrar / Assistant Controller of Examinations.
Vacancy Details
A total of 06 posts of Assistant Registrar are advertised. The category-wise breakup is as follows:
- Open (UR): 03 posts
- Scheduled Caste (SC): 01 post
- Scheduled Tribe-1 (ST-1): 01 post
- Scheduled Tribe-2 (ST-2): 01 post
One UR category post is likely to become vacant on 01 June 2026.
Important Clarification
The University has clarified that these posts are distinct and independent from the posts advertised earlier vide Advertisement Notice No. 06 of 2023 dated 28 April 2023, which are presently sub-judice before the Hon’ble Central Administrative Tribunal, Srinagar. The present advertisement remains subject to the outcome of the pending Transfer Application(s).
